Hi folks! Just a quick round up of our Lowe's Holiday Makeover - Vintage Remix with Monica Mangin of Eastcoast Creative. Just yesterday, she posted the full coverage and all the amazing pics of Content. dressed up in its Christmas best on her blog!
Even better though, Monica shared all of the DIY projects, made with Lowe's products and used in the makeover. She's got so many innovative, easy projects that you can try. Definitely give it a look!
Aside from having a beautiful room to look at and enjoy this holiday season, it was a thrill to meet and hang with Monica and her BFF Jess Jackson all weekend.
Watching them in full design motion was really entertaining, but one of my favorite moments was realizing I'd made the fatal mistake of following my normal Sunday routine of hitting up the flea market, but without them. The look on their faces was priceless. "Wait, you went to the flea market without us?" Ummmm....
Needless to say, we all (including John) got in Monica's truck and headed back to the flea. It was an awesome morning getting to know these ladies outside the walls of Content. Hearing about their many projects and collaborations throughout the years, and seeing how their forever friendship had been an obvious steadfast towards their success as a team and individuals.
Watching Monica and Jess work together is pretty amazing. They know each others styles, and strengths, and truly allow the other to shine where it serves the project best. If we could all be so lucky!
But, back to the makeover. Monica and Jess were able to perfectly match our love for vintage and thrifted finds, with fresh Christmas inspiration. Using only items they found at Lowe's (who sponsored the project), Monica created new interest in the Great Room and styled the room with a ton of our pieces. It worked perfectly, and allowed us to immediately feel comfortable and cozy in our own home.
A big thank you to Monica Mangin, Jess Jackson and Laura Olivia Photography for creating and sharing our home and Christmas cheer with the masses!
